This track came up to my head while I was playing surdo tercera at the samba festival in Moscow. So It's in the "higher" style, but contains conventional Brasilian samba rhythms at the same time.
Actually, it's about my tattoo and its origin from Da Vinci's aircraft and Tuomas Holopainen's "The last sled".
lyrics
For years I seemed
To be aware about
The tools and the skills I needed to go on.
My life was a dream
And I was dreaming out loud
To make the entire world do what I want.
I made it wrong on and on
I never learned from my mistakes
The more I believed
The more I failed it, though
I will never give up,
Continue doing what it takes
Even if I don't know
Where I am heading to.
Trying to put off pinky glasses
I'm feeling like a blinded,
Heavy-minded
I used to lose what I love
And to leave it all behind me
Spreading my paper wings
(Spread my wings and fly
towards another rainbow's end)
I used to explain
The things I had to reveal
As I was in love with rationality.
I struggled in vain
'Cause it was never a deal
If it didn't match with my reality
I made it wrong on and on
I never learned from my mistakes
The more I believed
The more I failed it, though
I will never give up,
Continue doing what it takes
Even if I don't know
Where I am heading to.
Trying to put off pinky glasses
I'm feeling like a blinded,
Heavy-minded
I used to lose what I love
And to leave it all behind me
Spreading my paper wings
(Spread my wings and fly
towards another rainbow's end)
